Hi everyone!
My family and I are new to the chicken scene. 10 days ago we got 4 ida reds.we are sure on exact age but guessing maybe 3or4 weeks old. I love my girls! They recognize my voice already which is awesome. My kids adore the chicks also they love playing with them and carrying them around.

Right now we are finishing up their coop (my husband is coming up with his own design). Right now we keep them in a tote but they are getting very brave and jumping up and out. I've been giving them time outside in a play pen while it's still warm here in MI.

Any suggestions for a newbie? I'm ready to start learning more!

hey! I am a fellow newbie to the chicken world. What we did for our chicks was built a little custom pen and put screens over the top so that they couldn't jump out when we weren't there, but yet had the grace of being outside and not in a tub.
