Two are from our Buff O's, but we got out first Easter Egg today! I think she laid two soft shelled before this one though. We have 6 hens and 6 nesting boxes. They ALL like the ONE box. She couldn't wait for someone to move out of the box so laid it in front of the barn
This little blue egg was awesome, but her next one, although still small, turned out to be a double yoker! One of our Buffs is laying doubles too. Yummy!
I went to whole foods the other day and took this photo of a dozen pasture raised eggs. $8.99 a dozen??? Oh my gosh, I can buy a lot of organic chicken feed in a month of those prices!
