Hello!
I am new to the chicken community, however, I have been researching for years. I have a few friends who have had chickens for years.
We have four chickens. We wanted three, but when we picked the little fluff balls up, we were given a "bonus" chick, who's breed we don't know yet... I will post about that!
Our breeds are:
-Silver Wyandotte
-Plymouth Barred Rock
-Light Brahma
-Bonus Mystery chick.
So far I have really enjoyed the experience of having chickens, I have been building our coop for the last 5 days, and am almost done (post to come later...) I am a bird nerd, so it's wonderful to have them not just at feeders in our yard!
I have found BYC from online research- it is always the source that answers my questions! I finally joined when I wanted to ask questions on the bonus chick's breed and questions about the sexing of our Silver Wyandotte.
