First Black Copper Marans Eggs

Thought we would share with all of you our new eggs we started getting last week. They just turned 24 weeks old this week.

We are breeding the Wade Jean C1 line.

Also here is a pic of our Roo that we are using this breeding season. Out of all that we hatched he was the only one closest to the standards, except our back up Roo, but his whole chest is copper.

Will he get more copper on his saddle as he ages or this is all he gets ??

The color looks nice and dark but they also look kinda wierd to me. Doesnt look like the right sheen. You should get some pics in sunlight without the flash. Just my 2 cents. Good job though
