first chick hatched!!!

i'm absolutely buzzing lol! just had my first chick hatch under my broody, Peggy

she went broody a few weeks ago, and i went and bought a variety of eggs to set under her, as i dnt have a cock bird

it's my first time at hatching, as well as Peggy's so i wasn't holding out much hope

but when i went to check on her a couple of hours ago, she came off the nest and there was the teeniest tiny chick wobbling about!! none of the other eggs have hatched yet, and i'm having to force myself not to keep bothering her

i'm just so excited, i had to share!!

Mum Peggy hasn't been off nest long enough.....but photos will be on here as soon as she is! she's got 5 more eggs to hopefully hatch, if she stays on them!
