We have just finished our first chicken coop. I will be getting 5 hens that are approximately 2 yrs old this weekend and I currently have 15 chicks growing bigger each day. I am open to any advice I need to know. TIA

I will have them separate. I am getting the hens from a family member. Would that not be ok?
It's always a good thing to quarantine any new birds. There are a lot of articles here explaining why. If you trust the source, you CAN, and everything may be fine. But there are a lot of horror stories about folks who didn't do the quarantine thing and had bad results. In the end, it's up to you of course. I'd suggest you read the articles and come to an informed decision. Whatever way you choose to go, good luck!!
