I had my first hatch last night around 10-10:30 and the second sometime between 11pm-9am.
I’m almost positive that the darker one is a cinnamon queen, as social as it’s mom Cayenne, I’ve named it Cilantro, the second came from one of my browns eggs but it’s much too light for the breeds I have… I have a black sex link egg, a cuckoo maran egg, one or more cinnamon queen eggs, an Easter egger egg, an olive egger egg and two mystery eggs but it came from one of the breeds I know, the rooster is also a cuckoo maran so he’s not light colored, any idea what breed it is?

Finally decided on the name for the lighter yellow one, Corsican, because Corsican mint is very strong

None of these chicks are breeds, except for the Cuckoo Marans bred to the Cuckoo Marans. They are all hybrids, as you have different breed parents, and some of the parents are hybrids themselves (CQ and EE). So you won't have any kind of uniformity in the chicks, even between the same parents, but there are some possibilities.

The yellow chick represents a white adult to come. My best guess (not seeing your actual birds) would be the "Cinnamon Queen" which is a hybrid red sex link considered white trimmed red. Running that through the genetic calculator with a cuckoo marans rooster, you can have 50% male or female white unicolor (from the white genetics in the CQ) or 50% chance of black unicolor male or female. Apparently, you got a white one which will be barred, but you won't see it due to the white plummage...although sometimes it comes through as "ghost" barring which is kind of neat.

I'll link the breed calculator below, and you can have some guesses as to what your chicks will look like.

Remember, other than the Cuckoo Marans bred to the Cuckoo Marans, assuming both of those are pure, which would produce Cuckoo Marans chicks, all other chicks will be barnyard mixes.

Don't get me wrong. I like my barnyard mixes, and have created some really nice birds that laid nice terra cotta eggs and shades of olive and green for me. I find my hybrids are hardy and long living.

Good luck with the rest of your hatch.

It would be so fun to end up with a white chicken but my CQs are mostly brown.
That’s a lot of information thank you! I appreciate it
