First Chicks of the Season

I'm so excited to share my first biddies of the season. Rhoda, my RIR, sat for over six weeks to get these little cuties!

Her first batch of eggs did not hatch due to temperature fluctuations I am guessing. Anyway she is happily clucking away now.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'm adding my new babies to this. Since I plan on giving some away, I really am trying to not get attached. I went into the feed store to get 2 chicks, they told me I had to get a min. of 6. So here are a few of my 6 in the brooder.
They are now about 6 days old.
They are all supposed to be RIR, but I think I got some Golden Comets too. Oh well. They're still cute.
