First Cluck?

Today I was watching the chicks which include my 8 week or so Ameraucanas and as I watched them, I heard a very soft "cluck, cluck, cluck."

Not peeps, but clucks. I laughed and asked which one. No one 'fessed up!

I was surprised to hear ours, we have a few that cluck now @ 7 weeks

My girls must be slow. All four will be 13 weeks old tomorrow, and today I heard the first "cluck cluck cluck". It came from Buffy, my buff orpington, who is the largest. Our wiener dog rushed toward her (on the outside of their run) and she gave him what-for! Thus far only the barred rock is showing pink on her upper beak and the start of her comb. Thus far there have been no noticeable attempts at crowing, thank goodness!

When my first started to cluck they where like a teen they had a squeaky voice and when some crowed they almost sounded like they where choking but not in a bad way
