This is the coop I just finished today for my little girl's first flock of 6 little 7 weeks old chicks. I work construction, so I got stuff every where(lumber). All treated lumber and hardie(concrete) siding.

Total cost, for the chicken wire, $40. Our first coop ever. Hope they like it.

Wow! What a great coop and run. I'm sure your chickens are very happy. Just one thing though. Chicken wire is not strong enough to keep out most predators. Hardware cloth is a lot stronger. It's a little pricey but worth it to keep your chickens safe. Do you have pictures of the inside?

I'm eventually gonna get stronger wire, but they stay on lock down inside the coop at night and my Pit Bull runs the yard all day. He doesn't let anything on his patch of grass. He does good with the chicks so far, he knows they are mine and off limits. Gonna try and finish the inside this week, before its picture worthy.

The coop is 4x8 and 6 ft. tall. The pen is 8x12 and 6 ft. tall. 6 egg boxes are 12"x12"x15". 14' of roosting poles inside and out. I still have a few minor details to work out, and my wife and daughter are arguing over the paint scheme.
