Hello! I am getting some chicks soon and I just converted an old cedar playset to a coop. I wanted to share with you all and see what you think. Thanks!

After (some changes were made after these interior pics like the nesting boxes have a wall separating them and a more secure latch among many other little changes)

Hi, Welcome to BYC! Wow! nice job:jumpy your coop looks great, nice to meet you and thanks for joining.
Thanks! It has been a TON of work but I’m proud of it. A few things need to be added before it’s ready for hens but its about 99% there. It’s a good feeling to save such beautiful cedar wood that would have likely otherwise been disposed.

Welcome to BYC. I'm very impressed with your skill. It is beautiful!
Do you have adequate ventilation? (It is one of the most important features of any coop) You need at least one square foot of "fresh air" space per chicken.
Thank you! In terms of ventilation I hope so. The openings at the top of the roof are both just enclosed with hardware cloth plus there is still a lot of ventilation in the wall slats. I closed them enough that predators can’t get in but air can. I’m going to keep a close eye on the temp come summer time but I think we should be alright. If it’s not enough I can put a roof vent fairly easily.
