In the Brooder
Got up the nerve to let my new adults out of their pen. Rhett, the rooster did his job. Kept his eye on his ladies. Showed them all the goodies. They had a beautiful day to be outside. Loved the grass coming up and being able to walk around. This was the first for all of them to free range. One of the girls went back in to lay her egg late afternoon. They all stayed right by the coop. My very elderly little corgi wanted them back in the pen so bad. She kept whining and crying until I let her move them around. They all did fine. Even Patches,one of my big fat cat boys went into their pen and sat and stared to intimidate. He got a boot in the butt for that,he's a terrible bully. So about 6:30 pm, they all went back in and everyone is fine. Glad that's over. Now they can enjoy days out.
