And I think it's my Welsh Harlequins that are laying! I got the first one Monday, then another Tuesday. They were dirty and gross... I need to get nesting boxes out there for them.

My muscovy eggs are huge, have a certain texture, and tend to be SLIGHTLY green in color. These were smaller, a cleaner white, and had less of the texture. Just like the hatching eggs I got for my Welsh Harleqins last year.

The one on monday was super dirty, as was the one on tuesday - not to mention cracked from freezing.

I hope I can get one that is intact and reasonably clean, so that I can try my first duck eggs!

Congrats! I think one of mine is about to start laying...she is hanging low to the ground!
I had an EE lay an egg inside of a brick and we cant get it out or move the brick! Hopefully it will thaw soon and I can clean it up before the chickens get to it!
The other day we had a frozen chicken egg and my husband tossed it out of their run! Two days later my dog found it and ate the frozen thing! Lol!

Congrats!

Mine are also starting to look like they are laying low (got that 'baby bump' happening) and so I've been checking each morning. Nothing yet.
