First Egg Expectation

My 9 Rhode Island Reds are 15.6 weeks old today and have had 14 hours or more of sunlight plus extra light in the morning. I'm fixing some design errors in my coop wondering if realistically some could start laying at 16 weeks of age? You can see most of the hens in this short video.

I would think 16 weeks is a bit early for RI Reds, but you are in luck that many of my chickens start laying more right after the winter solstice on December 22, even if they have just molted. Young chickens could start in the next 4 weeks I would say. That would put them at 20+ weeks. The perfect age to start laying.

The sign at the local farm supply said 16-24 weeks until they start laying. I was a bit skeptical about the 16 weeks and assumed 20 weeks was more like it.
