First Egg from Latias, the disabled Hen

Okay, so quick background: I have a hen that's lost from the metatarsus down on one leg and three toes on her remaining foot due to frostbite injuries earlier this year. Her name is Latias.

Today, she has laid her first egg! Her comb is red, big, and floppy, and she laid her first ever egg! To me, this is proof this little lady is healing (or fully healed)! I'm practically squealing like a teenaged girl with a crush in a 90's era movie because of this.

She has, and I'm so proud of her. Truthfully, I had actually been scared she wouldn't recover? So, this is, like, hella awesome to me and my family.
