Hi, all.
I'm a relatively new chicken owner and am experiencing the first lay for the first time. We got our chicks after Easter at 5 days old. We had our first lay this morning. Two eggs. They are very tiny, but super cute. I removed the eggs from their nesting box and replaced them with golf balls until I can get some decent wooden eggs. Problem is my hen is acting really funny, and is very determined to get into my kitchen, where I've taken the eggs. Does she know I took them? Can she smell where I took them to? This is a hen that has never had an interest in my kitchen before. Now she is b-lining for it. Thoughts? This has been such a fun ride so far, but now that they need psychological help after laying eggs I want to be sure I don't send them off the deep end.
Thank you, in advance for all your help!
