The girls turned 18 weeks today! I just started putting out oyster shells yesterday. I put out their ceramic eggs a couple weeks ago.

Is the one that layed it the one that went into the nesting box tonight instead of the roosting bar?

Cool! I am surprised it doesn't look funky. A lot of the time a hens first egg is bumpy, has no shell, or has wrinkles. Yours looks perfect!

Yea, it was perfectly clean! We'll see if there are anymore tomorrow morning!

Fun! Lovely little egg too

We just got some of our first eggs last week! Only one funky almost transparent one that was broken in the box the rest have been perfect. Now if only the rest would start laying.....

Finally ate the first egg! It was delicious and even a double yolk, which is normal for younger pullets. This means good luck so me's happy!

Pinkish tan. This will will lay X-Lg brown in time.
