Its 28 degrees, and snowing, the coop has no lights, and we get an egg!

Since they were going to reach maturity during the winter we figured we'd let them go natural and if they laid great otherwise we were just settling in to wait for spring!

A cute little beige egg - no clue who laid it....

Congratulations
The same thing happened to us yesterday.
No clue
First egg and then first snow.
I had just about given up until spring as well. Goes to show mother nature is in charge.

We got our first egg yesterday too. I am so excited. I called my mother and sister. And, oh yes, it snowed here too. The chickies didn't seem to mind. Diane
