First egg!

I got my first egg from my 18 week old Golden Sexlink yesterday. But nothing from my 44 week old Astrolorp yet. May she is waiting for spring, who knows.

Congratulations. When my Australorp started to lay she was quite sneaky and had a couple of hidden nests going. Yours is quite old for the breed as far as starting to lay, are they confined to a run or free range?

I know she is not laying. She does not squat and her pelvic bones have not moved apart yet. Her sister, Austro has been laying for months. But Lorp is smaller and developing really slow.
