First egg

My 2 chickens that layed are 4 1/2 months old. The eggs look perfect but is it safe to eat them? I've heard the first few can have issues. Also.. I have 12 total and some are only 2 1/2 months old. They live together. What feed should I buy? The shells are hard but I'm still giving everyone chick starter grower.

Have a dish of oyster shell next to the feed and you can still feed the starter/grower. Crack the eggs open, if it looks ok cook em congrats on the first egg btw! ​
