First Egg!

I got up this morning and what do I find?

not in the nestbox with the dummy egg but right by the waterer in a hole. Oh happy day!

zenbirder, they are 20 weeks.

What kind of hens do you have? I really don't know for sure what I have probably mutts according to the feed store clerk, they were "all brown egg layers" mixes of RIRs, Australorps, Amercuanas and Wyandottes. They were approx. 2-3 weeks old when we got them on May 11th. So I think that makes them about 13 weeks old now. I was told that they should start laying at about 5 months...I can't wait to find that first egg.
