Egg #2 has arrived
The day after egg #1, I explained to Pepper where she is supposed to lay the eggs - there was much clucking and head tilting on her part as I picked up one of the fake eggs from the nest box, showed it to her and said "Here...HERE is where these go" and put it back down. It really seemed like she understood. The next day, while working inside at my desk, I heard what I assumed to be "egg song" - so I went out and looked on the run floor which is where she laid the first one. Could not find one there, so I went and lifted next box lid... SHE PUT IT RIGHT NEXT TO THE 2 FAKE EGGS!!!!
Or somebody did...that gray feather must belong to Floof (but it could have blown there or she could have been nosing around). So not sure whose egg it is.
Fortunately I drew tiny smiley faces on the end of the 2 fake eggs, all 3 look the same....this one is regular size.
