First egg!

Hey everyone, I have a silkie and she has finally laid her first egg. She is with two hens around her age but those 2 have not started laying. Can these 2 pullets eat oyster shells or is that only when they start laying eggs? And once I start giving them oyster shells is there a specific brand I should give them or does any brand of oyster shells work? Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this post!

Congrats on the first egg @Ry123! First eggs are always exciting.

As for the oyster shell, brand shouldn't really matter. It is a very generic product. Oyster shell should always be served separately from the feed. The birds will regulate their own eating.
