First Eggs

we were not expecting our first eggs for a few more weeks and so we haven't been checking for them yet. Today my daughter happened to look and we found 9 eggs. We have 5 hens. No idea how long the eggs have been out there. Should I toss these first ones and just start checking daily now? We are BRAND new to this!

You could break them open to use them and smell them. In theory they are fine unless it was super hot out. The other option is to scramble them and feed back to the chickens for the protein. They won't know they are eggs.
