My two Barred Rock Plymouths reached 25 weeks on Monday and neither have laid an egg yet - should I be worried? They seem very healthy. They're eating layer pellets and grit, and doing daily free ranging.
is it really hot where you live? Its been in the 90s here and ive noticed less eggs. and do they have a place to nest? it could also just be that they are late to reach maturity, but I wouldnt be worried if they seem healthy just give it time.

It has been quite hot 🤔 I got some fake eggs today and put them in their nest box so they know where to lay 😅

So, my two little silkies today beat the Plymouths to the punch and produced an egg each right on time! The Plymouths don't even have the grace to look a little bit embarrassed, lol.
