First Flock From Simi Valley

Thanks! And as soon as she pops the little buggers out I'll be sure to update you!

That's really awesome! What's the part of Washington like that you live in?
We live just off the Willipa River near the bay and about 20 miles inland from Tokeland. Its kind of similar to how T.O. is close to Malibu as the crow flies. Its very rainy here by Ventura County standards (by most standards actually) but everything is green and lush! Fishing and Timber are the major types of employment or industry in these parts. Weyerhaeuser has a lot of timber out here along with a large mill, Fir I think is what they grow out here, and there's a lot of Cedar also in this general region on up to Cape Flattery. Its very country in its pace kind of like how things were in T.O. and Simi before they became part of the Megalopolis of L.A., (and the Movie Stars were more down to earth back then too). It has advantages and disadvantages depending on what you want out of life. We wanted quiet, lower crime rates, lots of foliage and to be able to have chickens! Oh we don't like having our neighbors right on top of us, so you have had to live out a ways to get that.
I go home every few years and I'm guessing that since you can have chickens you live out of the city center, perhaps I'm wrong. We could have small livestock when I was growing up in T.O. but I had rabbits instead of chickens. Silly me!
Take it easy nerdist11.
