First hatch question

How much are you going to shake them up? I once got a horrible hatch by bringing eggs home on rough country roads and not having enough cushioning. I don't think any amount of resting would have done them any good. 10 out of 30 and totally my fault.

You can let them rest a day if you wish, I don't think it will hurt. But of bigger importance don't shake them up to begin with.

I have about 3 miles of dirt roads to get to my house. My plan was to use a box and fill it with blankets and air cushions used for shipping to help cushion them.

Sounds good. I'd put the box on a seat, not on the floor. It could be nice if someone you trust could hold it for you but that's not always possible. And drive slowly.

Well.. second day in the incubator and our power has been out since 10:30. It's 5:22 now... any hope that the eggs will be alright? There are 5 water bottles in there to help maintain temp but after this long I'm sure it is all room temp.
