First loss

I’m so devastated. Ended up with a rooster we couldn’t keep but I was so bonded with him. It was hard to give him up but he went to a great home. They just let me know that they think a hawk got him, can’t find him anywhere. They have a big property but I don’t know how long he could stay hiding for. Just absolutely heartbroken and don’t know how to process it.
