first night out!

I wanted to use the seedling mat for just a couple days so its not to much of a shock? They were in my house which we keep between 68-72 pretty warm then rhet go out to 48 degrees lastnight. Lol i guess im more of a sissy then them. I will block off nesting boxes today when hubby returns from work (hes my helper!) And move seedling pad to box just for tonight and let them go from there, they have plenty feather and they are getting to be big girls im sure they will ne fine!

I use a pseudo brooder heater plate for chick heat too, but brooding inside, took it out at 3 weeks in a 65 degree room.

Use a cardboard box about 3 inches high with pine shavings for them to cuddle up and sleep in after the heat is gone and will transfer that outside when I put them in the coop.

You don't want them to get in the habit of sleeping in a nest box.
