I've had a pair of bobwhite quail I've kept inside for the last 2 months. For the last 2 weeks, they've been in a cool basement. Today is the first time I moved them outside-they're in a little wire chicken coop-and there's a horrible thunderstorm, it's pouring rain. Do you think they will be ok being outside when it's this chilly? I hope they have enough cover with the roof to the chicken coop, because other than that, they don't have much protection other than the grass they're sitting in. I assume they're game birds and they should be fine outside in weather like this, I just worry about them since it's the first night I've left them outside.

When you flight condition bobwhites for sale, you run a sprinkler on them for hours at a time to get them to build up the oil they produce to shed water. Check on them to make sure if they are getting wet that don't look wet and rumpled. If they aren't soaked, the temperature won't bother them, so if they are generating enough oil to stay dry you're fine.
