This is from the group I set back on 4/5 and plugged in the turner but didn't plug in the bator til 4/9.
I had plugged in an EMPTY bator by mistake (too many incubators and thermometers with probes here).
First one out is a Campine

Wow, Deb, Day 24? They are slow (and you are patient). Did you have low temps or something?
This group is on Day 20.
2nd one out is an egg from my brothers game birds, something he called a pumpkin roundhead (??).
There is an Ameraucana x Naked Neck cross (hoping for dark skin and a naked neck) almost out, too

Congrats on your hatch! I'm on day 20 no pips yet but am excited.

3 mixed chickens (checking fertility of my young hens)
6 mallard ducks

Looking forward to set 12 silkies later this week! ;

Hey Dipsy, are those Naked Necks usually featherless on the neck from hatch? I have never seen one a grown one much lessa chikc but I was just curious. I have seen pictures and I think they are different and wouldn't mind having a few. It's kinda like our Chinese Crested hairless dog. Either you like em or you don't.

Hi chknman79! Yes, they hatch naked necked.
Here are some naked neck chicks from an earlier hatch --- not the same cross as the ones I'm hatching now.

ncflowerpower (I knew a Robin that was ncfp), Hope your hatch goes well. Good luck!
