First Peachicks Hatched This Year!!

One of my sweet Silkie hens, a little black one, hatched out both peachicks she was setting yesterday! Both peachicks are white; when I got home from work today I checked in on them and they are doing wonderfully!!

I have 2 white Silkie hens setting 2 peachick eggs apiece but they are not due to hatch out until June 1 and June 8. My pied peahen that laid the eggs, started setting on 6-7 eggs last week. Her mate is a white peacock. I still have 3 of her peachicks, a year old now, and they are all pied; one little girl and two boys!!

Hopefully, we will soon be overrun with peachicks!!
