I found this site years and it has been most valuable for ideas and issues I've had. I am a lurker to sites and usually dont post. But to remove the thing telling me to post I will. I am not new to chickens I got my first chickens at a community fund raiser for our locally firedeparment when I was in 5th grade. It was a fun game where you paid $1 for 3 large wooden rings you could toss over ducks heads and win win win. Prizes were ducks rabbits chickens turkeys ect.. many years since I thought about it .
Currently years later alot of different changes with moving ect. Now only have 3 Hens. Think they are araucana. They are older and time to upgrade. Going to get 4 chicks today if available at the hatchery. Chickens are entertaining and are a good way to train kids about resources and responsibly. Current coop is Ten years old and a new one to be built soon. Will show when I figure out how to do that .
