I have a serama hen and roo, hen hatched in august, roo hatched in july. They have been kept together since I bought them in November. What are the chances their egg is fertile? How can I tell if she is not broodie if it could hatch?

There is only one way to find out. And it is not a good idea to incubate first eggs. Things go awry with the genetics. Wait til she has been laying for about a month.

Sorry , I disagree, there are two ways to find out. 1 incubate 2. Break the egg and check the blastoderm. (When I find pictures I'll post pictures showing fertilized and unfertile eggs.)
