First Squat!

Lickety, the largest of the Splits (Lavender Orpington x SLW), squatted for me and gave me the fluffy shake after her back massage.

Pelvic check is 2 fingers.

They're about 21.5 weeks and since neither parent breed is known for early laying I'm trying to be patient. But you all know how hard that is!

Probably be even harder now! Like the last few days before Christmas...

I will take pictures tomorrow because I'm in pain and going to bed (long day at work + arthritis + rain), but my egg basket tonight has an egg that doesn't match the eggs I'm used to seeing -- a little smaller, and weird-shaped, being pointy on the narrow end. It's the same color as my SLW's eggs except that she usually has some excess calcium deposit.

It's like detective work!

I can't be certain, but I suspect a new layer.
