You have some nice breeds and good layers. My children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of our Orpingtons. Austra Whites are hybrids produced by crossing Australorp (may favorite standard breed) rooster with White Leghorn hens to produce superior layers with the calm and gentle temperaments of the Australorps. If you would like your rooster identified, just post a pic of him and we will see if we can ID the breed for you. Also, you can post his pic on our What Breed or Gender is This? section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this and let our experts there take a look at him.
