We attended our first show today in Sedalia. MO. I admit, I was hoping to see alot more birds for sale there. But, that's just my greedy side! I did find a few nice silkies, and a few cochin girls for my son to start 4H with - he is thrilled. We met some wonderful, kind, and helpful folks - even ran into a very nice fellow BYC'r. If that is the kind of treatment one can expect at a poultry show - We are SOOO in! I got to meet someone in 4H who will be sending me membership infor, and we got apps for APA as well. They had raffles and a live auction of some items. We didn't do the auction, but both he and I won some really neat stuff in the raffles! I won a few sets of hen and rooster figurines, and a chiken shaped wire basket - LOVE it all! Over all it was one of best times we have had in a while - I daresay we will be trolling the webs for other shows near us!
