We are first time dairy goat owners. Both does gave birth to twins yesterday. I have to say this was an amazing thing to experience. One doe gave birth to two females and the other had one of each. The doe that had the male, refused to feed him after he first nursed from her. I believe he did get the colostrum that he needed, but now I have to bottle feed him. I have to say it is a job in itself. He will drink from the bottle, but very little. During the day, I hold his mother allowing him to nurse from her. I am concerned that I am either not feeding him enough or over feeding him. What is the best schedule for my little guy? Will he ever be accepted by the other kids to play with. They were all running and hopping around, but would not involve him. Is he considered to be an outcast?
