Such cute babies…I really love the names you have selected. Glad you joined us.
 
Thanks SO MUCH for the awesome advice from everyone. I am feeling much more comfortable about this coming winter. I don't mind putting in the extra work to get my growing chickens properly adjusted to the cold. I'll certainly keep a heat lamp out there as well.

I'm not a big fan of heat lamps in winter, first of all because of the fire risk and secondly because most chickens don't need it. The most important things to do is to keep the coop draft free, ventilated and keep the humidity levels under control in there.

I second sumi's concerns about the heat lamp. Too often they cause fires in a coop. Just keep the coop draft free and dry, and your EEs will do fine.
 
Very nice pictures, thank you for sharing! In our mixed flock, we have 1 EE and she is such a sweetheart. You're going to have a great time with these!
