Hello everyone. I just started my coop less than a month ago. Even before I got my chicks, I was utilizing this site for all its valuable information. I'm very much in love with raising chicks and am looking forward to providing my family with fresh eggs. My husband already raises cows and we've had a pig (it's since been eaten), so I thought it was finally my turn to provide something for the family. Besides the eggs, I've been trying to learn all I can about the chicken world. My two daughters have taken a huge interest in our chicks too so I might be looking into showing in 4H soon. If anyone has some good starting points for 4H, I'd love to hear about it! I have thousands of questions, so anyone interested in being my teacher, I would greatly appreciate it!

Welcome fellow Buckeye!
Enjoy--sounds like you're on your way to being hooked!
My daughter has been showing poultry in 4-H for the last three years, production, bantams, and meaties. A great learning experience for all of us. Check out the "Buckeye" thread--there's a bunch of us out there...
