Hi…I am new to the duck world. I just bought 3 pekin ducklings and I have a housing question. How large do the ducks actually get? I am starting to build a house for them and I'm not sure how large to make the door/opening. I want them to be able to go in and out with ease when they are full grown. Any other house/enclosure tips would be great! Thanks!

I hope that you learn a lot about ducks from BYC! Pekin ducks get pretty big. They can weigh 8 to 13 pounds. I would make the house at least 16 feet squares so maybe a 4 by 4. Make the door at least 16 inches tall by 12 inches wide. For more information, check out the coop designs. Hope this helps!
