First time for me! Chicks are in!

Ordered 25 chicks from McMurry. They shipped 26 but one fuzzy butt bit the dust on the trail.

Promptly mixed the Grogel and stuck their little beaks in it. They just looked at me like I did the first time someone told me I had to give the IRS their "fair share" of my hard earned income!

No one was interested. A couple pecked it a couple of times, but that was it. All they wanted was food and water and they all seem to be enjoying both.

Now I'm a gen-u-ine chicken farmer!!!!!

No need to include pix. If y'all don't know what they look like by now pix aren't going to help ya at all!

My significant-other and partner in the chicken escapade has told me it's not fair to enjoy looking at other people's pictures of chicks and not share my own.

So here ya go:

In this pile of fuzzy butts, there are 9 Black Star, 8 Barred Rocks, and 8 Rhode Island Reds................or at least that's what the invoice said. I count 25 chicks in the tub, but they move around so much I can't figure out the individual count!
