First time hatcher incubating help

I made my own incubator from a styrofoam cooler and i used a 25 watt bulb but the temp was still too high. I ordered eggs and they should be here soon. What do i do to get the temp down? My mom is suggesting that we just use an aquarium but I wouldn't know how to set a successfull one up.

Try installing a dimmer for the bulb?? Do you have vent holes?

I just put some holes in there but now the temp is up and the humidity is down
