Sunday March 15th I went to atwoods and bought 3 black sexlink and 3 gold sexlink pullets. After reading on here I am nervous that one might be a boy. It's the only one that has white on his head and I noticed that it has yellow feet but the two other ones have black feet. They all have wing bands. I am assuming for sexing but not sure. Do I leave them in the wings. Do I take them out. How do I take them out if I am supposed too. I don't want to hurt them. Will try to post better pics of the one in question and all the others as well. Please help

Glad to have you join! Feel free to make yourself at home! It looks like you have a male chick on your hands. I've never had a band on there wing so I'm not sure how to take it off.

Welcome to BYC! Yes, @Chicken Girl1 is right looks like that ones a rooster.

I have never had a chick with a wing band so I wouldn't know how to take it off, but I think you probably should. As the chicks will grow the band will get really tight and be very uncomfortable. I suggest you post in the ''raising baby chicks'' section of the forum and ask for advise on how to remove it. Enjoy your new flock!

Thank you. Now if I can get up to date with chicken growing chicken growing I will be alright
