Last year when my hens started laying, they started laying considerably small eggs, and this one had an egg stuck on her fluffy bottom which I believe was because of the fresh sticky bloom and the light weight of the egg. I thought it was hilarious walking around with an egg, don’t think she even noticed. Thought I’d share.

I have one who likes to sit in the nest and daydream. (Not in the broody sense, she just is never in a hurry.)

She also has a gloriously floofie butt.
I think as the egg bloom dries it sticks to her feathers. I occasionally find one of her eggs on the ramp or out in the run.

Yup, I sometimes find an egg outside the nesting box. Some of mine like to sit for a bit too.
