First time in the bator. we have babies!!!!!!!!

We set Yesterday afternoon for the first time. We have ten of our own eggs in a Hovabator and the temp is holding about 97-98 (as high as I can get it) and the humidity is in the low 60s. We are mainly trying to figure out this process and see what happens.

WEEEELLLLLLLL, ya gotta love mother nature. She is fickle.

Last night we had some terrible thunder storms ans we lost power from about 730 last night till about an hour ago. The temp dropped to about 72 degrees and the humidity went up to about 87%.I am hoping that we were early enough in the process to not hurt them.

We are blessed that nothing worse happened. Alot of damage around here. Thank you Lord.

Well I am down to 1. I will ride this one out and see what happens. I threw some coturnix eggs in with it right after the power came back on so maybe they will be ok and I'll get a few.

Well the chicken eggs were a bust after the power outage but we have 4 quail so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
