okay, so i set 15 eggs my little giant incubator on april 3rd. a week later i installed a fan and turner. the humidity stayed around 55% and it has been running very close to 99.5 deg.
the day of lockdown i added more water and closed the bator. my hubby checked it the next day and it was at 79% humidity! then my hubby trying to be help full pulled the other vent plug. i knew he checked the bator so i didnt go check it. the next morning i checked it and saw the plug out and the humidity was att 47%! (thanks hubby)
i put the plug back in and it went back up to 65%. the hatch date was the 1st of may but no pipps yet!
what do you think i should do?? i really hope this didnt kill the poor little guys!
thanks

Do you have duck eggs or chicken eggs? If you set April 3rd with chicks then your hatch date would have been April 24th in which case you are probably done....but if you set the following week for a hatch date of May 1st then I would suggest waiting. They may just be a little late. The 47% humidity at lockdown shouldn`t hurt unless they were pipping and zipping. I hope everything works out okay for you and that they are just enjoying the cozy eggs space for a day or so longer.

okay so i am a big weener! i was all worried and guess what? looked in the bator for thr 50th time today and i got a baby duckling trying like heck to get out! hope the other 8 fallow soon
