First time incubating

we are incubating eggs for the first time. We are at day 20 and 2 have already started to hatch. Since we made our own incubator we used a cooler. Will this make a different on them breathing? The one was chirping a lot earlier and we haven’t heard anything for the past 2 hours but we think the egg is still moving. We just want to make sure there is enough oxygen in there. Any ideas?

It is important that the air can circulate in the incubator. It will be too late for this hatch but maybe for the next one you could make some sort of small adjustable vent. It doesn’t need to be very big at all. Best of luck with your hatch!

We had put a few holes in it when we first started for a vent
