First time Incubating

Hey Everyone,

This is my first time incubating eggs, and I'm on day 8 with some little silkie eggs from Dipsey Doodle Doo. I just finished candling all 10 eggs and was wondering what I should be seeing on an egg finishing its 8th day. Pictures would be awesome!

Go to BYC's learning center....there's a tab to click on clear at the top of this page. Click on the "how to" pages. Then under Hatching eggs there's a link to click for candling at 8 days with pictures.

You should see Veins and a dark spot in the center. There is a really good diagram on here somewhere i just cant remember where to find it. Im sure someone else will know.

You could try to do a search for candling pics. there are some good ones on here. This is a diagram of the aircell size. Hope this helps.
