First Time Incubator....Got too hot 1st day :(

dkkirby what was your outcome?
I followed you tube incubator set up..bonjour. I think it fried 3 eggs. I since have lifted the eggs off the bottom w/ a plastic strainer. They still are lightly wrapped in material. We shall see in a week w/ candling if they are viable. The only reason I decided to put them in an incubator is because something which we think is a black snake has been taking the eggs one by one from our duck clutch. The two new duck eggs that we found today were put in under a brooding hen.

When locking down and removing turner should I put the eggs in a carton to make sure the air sack stays in place or just lay them on the wire mesh?

Ok so I feel super curious mine (homemade) got way hot yesterday I went to tend my chickens I came back it was a 135 :( im hoping i caught it quick the temp went down quick so.im hoping it didn't get that hot at the eggs
